I have supported the breast cancer cause for most of my life. In my early teens, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 invasive breast cancer; she became overwhelmed by the disease and transitioned within 18 months. This experience influenced how I would approach my life’s path and learned that living my best life would be the most memorable way to express my gratitude and love for her.

In 2015, I was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer, ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). And like many people, I never expected to be exposed to this disease. This became the catalyst to refocus and align to my life purpose. I reflected on the things I most valued about my skills and talents and how best to use them to help other women facing cancer. The day of my diagnosis my commitment strengthened to live by inspiration. In many ways, Empower.Me Strong! is an expression of My Call for Inspired Action.
